Imphal, February 03 2019:
Joint Students Body (ZSOM, LNKR, RNSO) has appealed Government teachers not to use substitutions and perform their duties with dedication.
Stating that no substitution of teachers will be allowed in areas under the jurisdiction of Zeme Students' Organisation (ZSO), Liangmai Naga Katamai Ruangdi (LNKR) and Rongmei Naga Students' Organisation (RNSO) from the academic session 2019 onwards, the Joint Students Body (JSB) said that it will take strong action against the teachers found engaging substitute according to RTE Act.
Appealing the Government to recruit teachers to solve shortage of teachers, especially for Mathematics and Science subjects, at schools across the State JSB urged the Government to do away with its policy of utilisation of teachers.
Identifying utilisation of teachers as a major cause for shortage of teachers, JSB cautioned that it will launch agitation if the policy is not scrapped.
JSB will be inspecting schools within its jurisdiction, said the statement and called for public support in the interest of the student community.
