Youth Guidance Cell set up in Kangpokpi

In its endeavour to bring constructive changes in the newly created Kangpokpi district, particularly the job seeking youths from the district, 38 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division introduced the first ever Kangpokpi Youth Guidance Cell at Kangpokpi District Headquarters today .
The humble initiative of the Assam Rifles for the youths of Kangpokpi, to make a career for themselves and a future for their family and society, was inaugurated by Deputy Commander of the 59th Mountain Brigade at Kuki Students' Organization, Sadar Hills administrative office, Kangpokpi DHQs .
The Kangpokpi Youth Guidance Cell was set up with the wholehearted support of KSO Sadar Hills and the local bodies which will be supervised by 38 AR Kangpokpi post and KSO Sadar Hills in collaboration with local youths .
The event was attended by Deputy Commander 59th Mountain Brigade Col Neelesh Bhanot, 59th Mountain Brig Col Vrijender Singh, Commandant 38 Assam Rifles Col V M Naithani, 2IC Rampal 38 AR, Maj Peter 38 AR and Maj Yogesh 38 AR, Kuki Inpi, Kangpokpi, Kuki Women Union Sadar Hills, KSO Sadar Hills and leaders of different CSOs .
Col Neelesh Bhanot urged the people of Kangpokpi district to collectively participate in making the guidance cell fruitful .
Kuki Inpi, Kangpokpi district president Seikhomang Khongsai, while underling the need for such initiative, said that setting up of a Kangpokpi Youth Guidance Cell will not only serve as a job provider but also bridge the gap between the people and the Assam Rifles .
He also said that the establishment of such cell on the part of the Assam Rifles vividly demonstrates their affability towards the hill people .
KSO Sadar Hills president, Thangminlen Kipgen expressed gratitude towards Assam Rifles for their noble gesture and urged the denizens of the district to make full use of the centre .
He also lauded the Kanggui Youth Union for their past efforts and involvement in student-related activities .
The Youth guidance cell will serve as a data collection Centre for interested students who will be made aware of the job openings by the cell, according to the resume they submit.
It will also serve as a counselling and guidance centre for entry in armed forces, Central and State police force and other Government jobs while providing a mini library and Internet access portal to the youths, reports our correspondent .
The cell will also provide information on the latest schemes and vacancies, assistance in online filling of forms, training for recruitment rally etc .
It will be open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.
