Imphal, November 30 2011:
Stating that none of the leaders of India, which forcibly merged Manipur into India after which people are being repressed by the alien rule, need not be welcomed on the soil of Manipur, the Coordinating Committee of KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro), RPF, UNLF and UPPK has decided to boycott the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
A press release issued by the coordination committee asserted that the internal bickering like blockades and counter-blockades and the division among indigenous communities are all results of India's divisive policies.
In their efforts to suppress the Naga liberation movement, the Government of India has been resorting to multiple strategies to keep the people of western South East Asia divided and they are threatening the integrity of Manipur by coining such terms as 'without territorial limits', 'Supra-State body' etc.
It's time to overthrow the alleged puppet regime of the Government of India, the committee asserted.
The recent initiative towards uniting the revolutionary groups to expedite the revolutionary movement would determine the future of Manipur.
Whereas the Government of India remained mute and silent when the people of Manipur suffered untold misery due to highway blockades for almost four months, the Prime Minister of India is now coming to Manipur carrying a secret agenda, the committee alleged.
Boycotting the Prime Minister's visit, the seven parties have called general strike from 4 am of December 3 to 4 pm of December 4 .
The general strike would not cover medical, electricity, water supply, fire services, medial and religious services, it added.
