Imphal, September 18 2021:
All Manipur Muslim Girls Students' Union (AMMGSU) has denounced the selection list for admission into 1st semester BBA at DM College of Commerce saying the process snatched away the rights of Meitei-Pangal students.
According to a statement of AMMGSU, only six students belonging to Meitei-Pangal community figured among 200 students selected for personal interview for admission into 1st semester BBA at DM College of Commerce.
After personal interview held September 8, another list of 100 students was notified on September 15 but only two (one each from unreserved and OBC) from Meitei-Pangal community were selected.
There is four percent reservation for Meitei-Pangal community in admission into professional courses and job recruitment and hence the community should enjoy four percent reservation as BBA being a professional course, the statement said and urged authority concerned to ensure the entitled rights of Meitei-Pangal community in admission into BBA course of DM College of Commerce.
