HTC calls for upholding Covid SOPs

Imphal, January 31 2022: Hill Tribal Council (HTC), Moreh has appealed to the public to adhere strictly to the safety guidelines mandated by the government in the wake of sharp rise of COVID-19/Omicron cases in Tengnoupal district from among traders from neighbouring Tamu areas in Myanmar.

A release by media and information secretary Lalremsiem Kholum said that the district 'administration had ordered the sealing of Indo-Myanmar border from February 1 in order to prevent Myanmarese nationals from entering Moreh and'check further spread of the contagious disease.

It also reminded the people to wear mask and use hand sanitizer at market place, avoid mass gatherings and social events and also advised parents to educate their children about the dreaded disease.

It also reminded people suffering from cold and flu to take a steam therapy twice a day.
