Imphal, July 06 2022: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ukhrul District in collaboration with Indian Council for Agricultural Research, Manipur Centre launched a two-day training cum demonstration programme on "Major Insect Pest Management of Kachai Lemon" at Kachai village in Ukhrul district on Tuesday.

During the programme KVK, Ukhrul subject matter specialist (Plant Protection) Dr N Ajitkumar Singh, delivered a lecture on 'Major Insect Pest of Kachai Lemon and its management' and KVK Tamenglong subject matter specialist (Horticulture) Dr RK Roshan on 'Grafting and Air-Layering technique of Kachai Lemon'.

The programme was followed by field demonstration on pest management and grafting technique of Kachai lemon.

As part of the training, various organic pest management materials such as Yellow sticky trap, Pheromone trap, organic chemical, etc., were also distributed to the farmers numbering 45 from Kachai village.
