CPI mourns demise of Sinam Lukhoi

Communist Party of India - Marxist (CPI-M) Manipur has condoled the demise of the party's leader and vice-president of Manipur Loumee Marup, the state unit of Kishan Sabha, and termed his demise as a great loss for farmers.
Lukhoi died at the age of 83 years at his Changangei residence on Thursday.
CPI-M Manipur State Committee held a condolence meeting at the party office here on Friday with party leaders Sinam Ibopishak, Taorem Manihar and RK Sanajaoba in the chair.
Manipur Loumee Marup secretary and CPI-M Manipur secretary Sarat Salam, who also attended the condolence meet, said that Sinam Lukhoi was also an activist, who participated in different movements to set up Kishan Sabha, statehood demand, inclusion of Manipuri language in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution and demand for repealing AFSPA.
CPI-M state committee members RK Sanajaoba and Roma Devi also shared their experiences with the deceased party leader.
A two-minute silence was also observed in honour of the departed soul.
