Rain water harvesting system inaugurated

In continuation with the efforts of Assam Rifles to assist the local populace, Moreh Battalion of IGAR (S) inaugurated rain water harvesting system at T Minou village in Tengnoupal district on Wednesday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that as part of Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme, rain water harvesting system of 12,000 litres capacity was constructed in order to aid the locals overcome water scarcity problem.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by leaders of CSOs from Moreh and village chiefs of nearby villages.
Village authorities lauded the efforts of Assam Rifles to address water scarcity problem in the village and urged the villagers for effective utilisation of the newly created infrastructure, the PRO added.
