Imphal, March 13 2023: Imphal Police station has been ranked the best police station in Manipur for 2022 according to the annual ranking of police stations declared by the ministry of home affairs.

DGP P Doungel handed over the award to Imphal Police station officer in-charge DSP N Ingocha during a function held at Imphal West district police headquarters recreation hall, here, on Monday.

Congratulating Imphal Police station for bagging the award of best police station, Manipur for the year 2022, P Doungel said that a number of other police stations had also received the honour and many others will follow suit.

Earlier, police stations had to face various problems due to shortage in manpower.

However, now, the police stations of the state have developed infrastructure and every police station is performing their best in carrying out the assigned duties, he said while adding that Imphal Police station which has been performing its best and thus awarded the best station for the year 2022 .

The function was also attended by ADGP (LO) L Kailun, IGP (administration) K Jayanta, IGP Zone-1 and Fire services director Themthing and IGP (Intelligence and NAB) Kabib K .
