AMESTA backs new ZEO Zone-II

Imphal, December 08 2021: All Manipur Elementary School Teachers' Association (AMESTA) Zone II has urged the state government to allow M Premchandra Singh hold on to the post of ZEO Zone-II .

Speaking to newspersons at Manipur Press Club here on Wednesday, AMESTA general secretary Sheikh Sirajuddin Shah pointed out that the presence of two ZEOs for ZEO Zone-II Imphal East is creating inconvenience to not only the staff but the people as well.

AMESTA Zone-II is dismayed over the MES officers acting as if they are fighting for the post, he added.

M Premchand was appointed as the ZEO for Zone-II as per a government order but the former ZEO Laishram Mohini Kumar is still occupying the office.

As such, the Association urged the government to look into the matter and issue an order firmly appointing M Premchandra Singh as ZEO Zone-II .
