1 more dies of COVID-19 in Kpi, Mask Kangpokpi campaign continues

Kangpokpi, June 21 2021: As a part of its preventive measures, the Covid Task Force Kangpokpi continued to embark on its Mask Kangpokpi Campaign today in the district headquarters.

Haolet Khongsai, Chairman CTF Kangpokpi said that as it was a market day, the task force monitored the market to ensure that everyone coming out to the market were wearing face masks and Covid appropriate behaviors were followed in the town.

He continued that such negligence and carelessness of the people would be detrimental to many other innocent people.

The volunteers of CTF Kangpokpi were seen distributing masks in the town to those who came out without wearing face masks and cautioned them to wear mask before venturing outside their house.

The volunteers of COVID Task Force Kangpokpi also monitored the opening of the market in the town and ensured all shopkeepers possessed COVID-19 Free Certificate while strictly enforcing social distancing and other Covid appropriate behavior in the market.

Meanwhile, one more person succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Kangpokpi district to 35.The latest victim, aged 62, Droeing from Kangchup Chiru under Kangchup Geljang SubDivision of Kangpokpi District succumbed to the virus this morning at RIMS Hospital Imphal.

Besides, the total number of active cases in the district stands at 98 .
