Loktak Bn interacts with martial arts players

Imphal, January 16 2023:
In order to have cordial relation and strong bonding with the local youth and to promote Khelo India Campaign and a positive environment in remote areas, Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) carried out interaction and motivated the players who participated in the 2nd State Level All Styles Martial Arts (Wushu, Kick-Boxing, Taekwondo, Kung-Fu) Championship 2023.In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the Wushu Academy Thanga in Bishnupur district organised the three-day state level championship at Thanga Heisnam Lairembi community hall from January 13 to 15.A total of 300 players of different age and weight categories from the entire state competed in the championship.
The winners were also felicitated with presentation of certificate of appreciation by the Battalion.
The participants and spectators lauded the initiative and hoped such events by the Battalion will give fillip to "Assam Rifles-youth interaction" and foster a healthy competitive spirit among the youth of the area.
The organising committee, Wushu Academy Thanga highly appreciated the initiative of Loktak Battalion for coordination and support provided by the Battalion, the PRO added.
