Transporters laud AR for easing curbs

Imphal, November 28 2022: Moreh-Imphal Van & Other Light Vehicle Service Association has lauded Assam Rifles (AR) for relaxation of restrictions imposed on transporting goods in view of the upcoming festivals like Christmas and New Year.

A statement issued by Association president Goukhai Zou and secretary Minthang said that the drivers are facing problems with limited number of passengers, tourists and goods, incurring heavy losses due to the current ongoing political upheaval in Myanmar.

As the Assam Rifles is well aware of the present situation, some adjustment and concession on transportation of goods in view of the upcoming festivals were given.

As such, the Association expressed gratitude to the AR stationed along Moreh-Imphal Road particularly 20 AR and 5 AR for their humanitarian gesture, the release added.
