Study lamps distributed

Study lamps provided by Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA) were distributed to around 263 (Two hundred and sixty three) students of four different schools in Langathel yesterday in an event organised by Agriculture and Allied Farmers Foundation (AAFF) under the aegis of Paonam Brojen, MLA of Wangjing Tentha Assembly Constituency.
A press release by AAFF said that the event was attended by president of AAFF, Paonam Shantikumar, media advisor of Punna Hingminnasi Group (PHG), Rakesh Naorem, PRO of Paonam Brojen, S Jayedeba Singh, general secretary of Wangjing Tentha Mandal, Thangjam Brajakishor along with members of PHG and AAFF.
Speaking on the occasion, S Jayedeba Singh said that the study lamps have been distributed to students of Wangjing Tentha AC for the second time which have been handed over to the MLA by MANIREDA.
The lamps are distributed to 263 students of Langathel who have applied for the same earlier, he added.
He maintained that the lamps will help the students of the villages tremendously when there is any power outages.
Thangjam Brajakishor stated that the lamps have been distributed to students of Shining Academy, Langathel Marfdakini Upper Primary School, Sacred Shine School and Langathel High School.
He assured of providing benefits to other students of Wangjing Tentha AC of such schemes.
