AR celebrates Teachers' Day

Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) celebrated Teachers' Day with the teaching staff of schools of Yangoubung, Thingphai, Dzalengbung and Moltuk villages at Moltuk in Chandel district on Monday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the teaching staff members were felicitated for their tireless effort to spread education in a challenging remote location.
It also informed that the battalion organised Teachers' day celebration at Assam Rifles Public School, Pallel in Kakching district attended by 17 teachers along with 162 students and parents.
The event began with a welcome address and several dance performances from the students followed by motivational lectures by the dignitaries about the importance of education.
Teachers were felicitated after the programme, it said, adding that Assam Rifles Public School is a pioneer institute in Pallel, responsible for providing quality education to the wards of defence and civil personnel, with an aim to ensure education accessible to all.
