Missing man's body found

After search for three days, volunteers of Young Paite Association (YPA) and Zou Youth Organisation (ZYO), Haupi block have found the body of Pumzalian Ngaihte floating on Khuga river water near M Tanglian village on Wednesday at about 10.40 am.
Pumzalian (58) son of late S Ginlang Ngaihte of Khominthang, New Lamka along with Nehkhohou (28) son of late Laltinkhum of Valpakot, Saikot went for wood cutting in the forest near M Tanglian village last week.
After both were reported missing since December 4 night, a massive manhunt was launched by volunteers of YPA and ZYO along with others with Pumzalian's corpse found floating on Khuga river water few metres away from a makeshift hut near M Tanglian village.
The body of Pumzalian Ngaihte was found prostrated in the water and Singhat police was informed.
A police team along forensic experts retrieved the dead body and it was found that Pumzalian Ngaihte had injury marks apparently made by some sharp weapon on his eyebrows and skull.
The body was then taken to district hospital morgue and is likely to be taken to RIMS hospital for post mortem on Thursday.
After finding blood stains nearby the makeshift tent, police suspected that Pumzalian was killed by Nehkhohou and further suspected Pumzalian might have taken the body to the other side bv a raft which also had lots of blood stains.
Meanwhile, Singhat police started search for Nehkhohou and even announced reward of Rs 20,000 for anyone who could give information about his whereabouts.
