Parasagittal tumour removed

Imphal, November 26 2021:
A case of middle third left parasagittal meningioma (brain tumour) of infiltrating superior sagittal sinus was operated successfully after nearly 14 hours of surgery at RIMS on November 20 .
In a press statement, RIMS neurosurgeon Dr Th Gojen Singh explained that most of the latest gadgets of neurosurgery like CUSA, microscope, bipolar cautery, head frame with pins, brain retractors including new Digital Augmented Reality Operating Neurosurgey Microscope were used.
He also expressed gratitude to the dedicated team of anaesthesia, nurses, technicians, MPW and those who were involved in the surgery.
Special thanks to the RIMS authority for procurement of latest neurosurgery equipment, Dr Gojen added.
