IBSD signs MoU with Palampur Institute

Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT), Palampur for research on bioresource development to promote bio-economy through translational research.
While stating that CSIR-IHBT has a mission to discover, innovate, develop and disseminate the processes, products and technologies from Himalayan bioresources for society, industry, environment and academia, a statement informed that the Takyelpat headquartered IBSD is working on development of bioresources of the northeast region for boosting the bio-economy of the region under the leadership of its director Prof Pulok K Mukherjee.
The MoU between the two institutes aimed at synergising interdisciplinary research to promote the bioresources of NER was signed at CSIR-IHBT, Palampur during the National Technology Day programme and in the presence of CSIR-IHBT director Dr Sanjay Kumar, scientists, scholars and staff.
This collaboration will help in development of bioresources and capacity building of scientists/students of NER in future, said the statement.
During the programme, Dr Sanjay Kumar, Director, it also informed that Prof Pulok Mukherjee delivered the Technology Day lecture.
