MU Library inaugurates RFID, ILMS

Manipur University Library launched Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Illuminations Light Monitoring System (ILMS) on Tuesday.
Speaking at the launch programme, MU vice chancellor Prof N Lokendra pointed out that library helps in creating creative ideas and enhancing thinking process.
Human resources are trained and society has been transformed into a progressive one because of it.
As compared to other libraries, MU library has an enviable collection of over two lakh quality books, he said.
Stressing on the need to modernise library in tune with the changing times, Prof N Lokendra lauded the librarian for including RFID and ILMS technology in the library stating that it will provide more benefits to teachers, scholars and students.
The inauguration function was also attended by MU registrar Prof W Chandbabu Singh among others.
