Kakching panics as cow perishes

Imphal, March 13 2023: People of Wangoo Sandangkong under Kakching district have raised concern following the death of a cow due to unknown disease on Monday morning.

Upon receiving the information, a team of experts of Veterinary Department rushed to the spot and conducted preliminary enquiry.

Wangoo Sandangkhong Social Welfare Youth Club and PYDO Club lauded Veterinary Department Thoubal and Kakching joint director Dr S Binokumari for the swift action taken to examine cause of death of the cow.

Under the direction of Dr S Binokumari, expert teams of veterinary head office, Sanjenthong and Kakching veterinary conducted post mortem examination at the spot and collected samples for sending to the laboratory for further testing.

As cause of death of the cow could not be ascertained during the post-mortem examination, the carcass has been disposed of at a proper place in order to prevent spread of the unknown disease to other livestock.
