Hep-B patients to get free treatment

The National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP) on Thursday observed World Hepatitis Day at the MS Conference Hall of the Churachandpur district Hospital.
The event organised under the theme "Bringing Hepatitis Care Closer to You" was attended by medical superintendent Dr T Vanlalkungi, deputy medical superintendent Dr Seanboi, Dr Lalboi and representatives from the Medicine Sans Frontier (MSF) among bthers.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Lalbiakdi-ki explained that there are various types of Hepatitis diseases of which free treatment are being provided to Hepatitis C patients since 2019.She further informed that persons with Hepatitis-B infection will now get free treatment under the initiative of the hospital authorities.
