Petrol, LPG out of stock in Jiribam

Even as flood continuous to affect people in several parts of Jiribam district, unavailability of petrol and LPG (cooking gas) has compounded suffering of the people.
Incessant rainfall for oyer one week and subsequent flood cut off road communication giving untold hardships to the people.
Amidst such a difficult situation, petrol and cooking gas ran out of stock in the district since the past few days, thus, adding to woes of the denizens.
Though petrol was available in black market at the rate of Rs 140-150 per litre on Thursday and reached Rs 180 on Friday morning, no petrol could be procured even from black market from Friday afternoon.
Normally, cooking gas was available in black market at the rate of Rs 1400-1500 per cylinder but no cooking gas could be procured even from black market since Thursday.
