AR conducts awareness programme

Kangpokpi, November 28 2022:
Noney Battalion Assam Rifles under Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a Civic Action Programme for the financial year 2022-23 and distributed five Foot-operated Sewing Machines to Khonglong Women Society (KWS) of Khonglong village in Kangpokpi district on Monday.
The event was organised to promote self-employment for women folks of the village and interact with them to spread awareness on education, personal hygiene, fundamental rights, self-dependency, employment, etc., The programme was also aimed at educating the women regarding their significance and contribution for uplift of society which will definitely help in changing the lives of remote villagers in Manipur and help the society in its sustainable collective development and improvement.
The Civic Action Programme was attended by members of Khonglong Women Society, the youth of the village, village authorities, village chairman, Khonglong Students' Organisation and others.
