Anganwadi workers hail cabinet decision

Anganwadi Workers and Helpers' Union, Manipur has lauded the government for its cabinet decision to increase honorarium for Anganwadi workers and helpers.
In a release, Union president K Tilotama recalled that memorandums were submitted to union labour minister Rameshwar Teli during his recent visit and to the state government demanding increasing of their honorarium.
After the central government initiated processes for distribution of e-SHRAM cards to ensure social security to unorganised workers, the state cabinet increased Rs 1000 for anganwadi workers and Rs 600 for helpers in their honorarium, she continued, while lauding the present government for fulfilling their demands of increasing their honorarium not only once but twice during its current term.
While praising that the government is people's government, she main tained that increasing the honorarium for the workers and helpers is a timeless gift of the government to the womenfolk.
