ADC-SH allots ambulances to combat COVID-19

Kangpokpi, June 21 2021:
As part of its initiative and efforts towards combating COVID-19 pandemic in Kangpokpi district, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council has allotted two ambulances to the district's medical department.
ADC Sadar Hills caretaker chairman Haokholal Hangshing handed over the two ambulances allotted recently by the state government to CMO Kangpokpi on Monday in the presence of CEO Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi James Doujapao Haokip, former ADC Sadar Hills members, MS of district hospital Kangpokpi Dr Paotinlal Haokip and other officials of ADC Sadar Hills and medical department.
Caretaker chairman Haokholal Hangshing said during the handing over ceremony that the ambulances were procured by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Hills Department under the 15th Finance Commission of the ADCs and distributed to the ADCs.
The two ambulances allotted to the medical department are Force Traveller class with built-in Basic Life Support (BLS) with auto stretcher foldable legs while adding that another Advanced Life Saving (ALS) ambulance will be arriving shortly and allotted as per requirements to medical department.
He also said that an Oxygen plant with 100 refilling capacity per day is under construction and it will be completed very shortly.
He urged officials concerned to work dedicatedly for the welfare of the people of Kangpokpi in the fight against the pandemic.
