State-level debate competition held

Imphal, December 09 2022:
Manipur Police Training College, Pangei under the aegis of National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi organised an annual state-level debate competition for state police personnel on the topic of 'Civil Organisation play victim card in times of human rights vigilantism', at the banquet hall of First Battalion Manipur Rifles, here, on Friday.
The competition was organised with the aim of improving the state police organisation and as part of the force's service to the people, protection of public properties, unity and integrity.
In all, 26 participants including personnel from various districts, units and MR/IRB spoke for and against the topic of the competition.
9 IRB (Mahila) Bn constable Sonia Thangjam bagged the first position, MPTC head constable (T) Oinam Ajitkumar Singh secured the second position and Imphal East district police woman constable L Angomleima Chanu finished third in the competition.
