Moirang MLA calls for aiding developmental projects

Along with inaugurating the Moirang multipurpose town hall constructed at Leiphrakpam Leikai ward no 7 on Friday, Moirang MLA and government chief whip P Saratchandra made a fervent appeal to all concerned not to obstruct developmental projects so as to bring progress in the society.
He informed that the multipurpose hall has been constructed at the historical place at a cost of Rs 6 lakh from his local area development fund, Rs one lakh and 16 iron pillars from own sources along with the support of Philem Leiphrakpam Leikai Development Committee.
Exhibition area, badminton court and recreational centre for senior citizens will also be included as components of the multipurpose town hall, he added.
He further said that along with the construction of roads in Moirang areas at an estimated cost of Rs 21 crore, Rs 10 crore has been earmarked for setting up an Eco Park and the CHC Moirang.
Khamnu Bazar will also be constructed, he assured, while urging all to extend support in taking up these developmental works.
The inauguration programme was attended by social worker Philem Ibom cha Singh and councillors of ward number 3, 4, 6 and 8 .
