TSA bandh ends, boy injured at Kangpokpi

The 48 hrs bandh imposed by TSA ended today peacefully even as a ten-year old boy has been badly injured on IT Road, Kangpokpi when a tear gas bomb suspected to be fired yesterday evening by security force to disperse bandh volunteers exploded this morning at around 7 .
The injured boy, identified as Reetesh Poudel s/o Prakash Poudel of IT Road, Kangpokpi Ward No13 has been admitted to Community Health Centre, Kangpokpi and under observation.
Sources said that the boy saw an unexploded tear gas bomb near his house this morning.
Out of curiosity, he picked up the tear gas bomb and played with it.
Suddenly it exploded and injured him.
Doctors who attended to the injured boy said that his condition is currently stable but he has been put under observation.
Yesterday around 5 pm, suspected volunteers of TSA pelted stones at the moving vehicles along the highway near IT Road junction.
In order to disperse them police fired several round of bullets, teargas shells and smoke bombs.
According to the police, as many as 40-50 Wingers including inter-State passenger buses were safely escorted today.
