Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam has urged different political parties of the State to persuade the voters of ADC election through love and peace instead of indulging in intimidation.
Expressing serious concern over violent incidents at some places, Gaikhangam urged all concerned to avoid such incidents.
The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking at an election rally cum 125th Birth Anniversary celebration of Dr BR Ambedkar at Noney (Longmai) today.

Taking a dig at the BJP, Gaikhangam said that the party has forgotten how to campaign for the ADC election as they are busy lambasting Congress.
He expressed wonder why BJP has undermined the fact that Congress has brought visible developmental changes in the State through its unbiased policies.
He said that Congress never differentiates people through region, religion, community and caste.
Gaikhangam said that BJP Manipur Pradesh must be listed in the Seven Wonders of the world as the party is unable to see the developmental works taken up by the Congress Government although the whole people of the State are the witness of these changes.
He said that as Congress is likely emerge victorious in most of the ADC seats, BJP Manipur Pradesh has invited its National leaders to take part in the electioneering.

Regarding Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju's recent election rally, Gaikhangam said that Rijiju is the first Union Minister to take part in the electioneering of State ADC election.
He said that it is unbecoming for a Union Minister to take part in the election campaign of local self Government and make illogical statements.
Gaikhangam said that Central leaders are more suitable to stay at the National level and make comments on National issues.
He also urged the voters to cast vote without any fear.
SDO and Block offices would be constructed at Noney and Haochong at the earliest, he said and added that these office complexes would be inaugurated after ADC elections.
HAC Vice-President Z Kikhonbou Newmai, Tamenglong AC MLA Janghemlung Panmei, ADC candidates, village chiefs, Congress workers and leaders took part at the election rally.
