Heeding call of JCILPS students form human chains, raise slogans

Imphal, June 06 2016:
Heeding the call of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS), students of educational institutes located along Tiddim road formed human chains outside their institutes today and shouted several pro-ILP slogans.
They also raised slogans against the wanted tag on former JCILPS convener Khomdram Ratan.
Students of Imphal College, Little Flower School, COMET, Diviner School, Inspire School, Photon School, New Horizon Academy staged demonstrations in front of their respective schools by forming a human chain on one side of the road.

They shouted slogans like 'Implement ILP system in Manipur,' 'Convert the three Bills into Acts at the earliest,' 'Implement the agreements between Government and JCILPS,' 'State Government can't suppress the ongoing ILPs agitation by dubbing Kh Ratan as a wanted man and arresting students' and 'We condemn wanted tag on Kh Ratan' .
Students of Heritage Convent Uripok and Temple of Learning, Canchipur also carried out similar protest in front of their respective schools by forming human chains.
Sit in protest was also staged at Kakwa Keithel by members of Kakwa Laipham Apunba Meira Paibi Lup by blocking one side of the road.
