NEP-2020, a vision for future generation: Rajen

Education Minister S Rajen Singh has categorically stated that the Government launched National Education Policy (NEP) -2020 to build a stronger Nation.
Speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function of Huidrom Lower Primary School in Imphal East, Rajen said that improving and making the Government schools function properly is very much necessary for the country to prosper as people particularly in the rural areas can hardly afford education in private schools.
He said that the State has also launched School Fagathanshi Mission to improve the education system of the State as well as to reduce dropout students.
The Government has also been providing free education to children up to the age of 14, he said and added that registering students in Government schools is also increasing.
He maintained that the State Task Force and sub-task force have also been constituted for the successful implementation of the National Education Policy.
The Minister also assured to upgrade the Huidrom LP School to Primary School and appealed to the locals of Huidrom to send their children to Government schools.
Rajen also instructed the teachers to render their service with sincerity.
Ksh Budha Meetei, president SMC, Huidrom; I Robichandra Meitei, ZP member, Sawombung; I Prem Meitei, ex Pradhan, Pungdongbam Gram Panchayat; L Nungshi Devi, Ward Member, Pungdongbam GP also attended the function.
