Imphal, June 28 2019:
Chief Minister N Biren left Imphal for Delhi today leaving only three Cabinet Ministers at Imphal at present.
They are Law and Legislative Affairs Minister L Jayantakumar, PHED Minister L Dikho and Social Welfare Minister Nemcha Kipgen.
As he had to go to Delhi to talk with BJP Central leaders on the political crisis besieging the coalition Government, N Biren handed over the charge of Chief Minister to NPP's L Jayantakumar.
With the power struggle within BJP dragging on for the past two weeks or so, BJP Central leaders called ruling MLAs and Ministers including the Chief Minister as well as Congress MLAs who have been supporting the coalition to work out a solution.

As such, the Ministers and MLAs have been camping at Delhi for many days.
BJP National general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Bhupender Yadav has already started eliciting positions and wishes of ruling MLAs including Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar and Cabinet Ministers one by one since yesterday.
Biren left Imphal for Delhi today along with Education Minister Th Radheshyam, Forest and Environment Minister Th Shyamkumar, Agriculture Minister V Hangkhanlian and some ruling MLAs.
Although Biren has reached Delhi, there is no report of any meeting between the Chief Minister and any Central leader till the time of filing this report.
It is being speculated that BJP Central leaders may take some concrete actions to resolve the Govt's internal crisis before the BJP Manipur Pradesh executive meeting on July 6 .
