Centre refuses to abolish GST on items supplied to religious places

New Delhi, November 27 2017:
The Centre has refused to abolish GST on items supplied to Gurudwaras and other religious places.
Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal said this while interacting with the media at Chandigarh before the commencement of Assembly session.
He said that he will raise the issue with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Union Minister from Punjab Harsimrat Kaur Badal.
He said that he will also raise the issue at the next meeting of GST council.
Mr Manpreet Badal also told that Punjab Cabinet, which met today morning, has decided to raise the sugarcane price from present Rs 300 to Rs 310 per quintal.
