CADA conducts awareness programme on COVID-19

Kakching, October 26 2020:
Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA) organised an awareness programme on COVID-19 at Chairel Khongnang Leikai Meitei Shanglen, Kakching, today.
The awareness programme was organised in collaboration with Kakching District Committee, Youth Development & Sporting Organization, Chairel & Thoubal District United Women's Development Organization (Thoubal Ima) .
Hijam Priyokumar, president, CADA; Sorokhaibam Nena, president CADA Kakching District Committee; Moirangthem Naran, senior citizen; Mayengbam Budhi, secretary organisation, CADA and Geetchandra Mangang, secretary-general CADA attended the programme.

At the event,Geetchandra Mangang said that though COVID -19 is not fatal, it is highly contagious.
However, if we continue to take this disease lightly, it will create bigger problems beyond salvation, he said and appealed all to follow SOPs for COVID laid down by the Government and Health Department.
He appealed all to wear a face mask properly and maintain a safe distance from others whenever venturing outdoors and also wash their hands with a soap or hand sanitiser regularly.
At the end of the event, face masks were distributed to all the participants of the programme.
