Man found killed, none held

Imphal, August 25 2015:
A 60-year-old man has been found brutally murdered near Potshangbam Chingjol water supply plant under Sekmai police station in the intervening night of August 24 and 25 .
The man has been identified as Ngangbam Ibungo s/o (L) Ng Ibohal of Kanto presently near Potshangbam Chingjol water supply plant.
Police said that the deceased bore injury marks on his neck and abdomen probably made by a sharp object or an axe.
Ibungo used to stay in a nearby brick farm, where he was working as a chowkidar some time back, police said.
However, after he left his brick farm work, Ibungo stayed in a hut built near Potshangbam Chingjol water supply plant with his second wife.
Local sources said that Ibungo had a party with some of his friends near the water supply plant last night.
Ibungo's second wife and some of his friends are absconding after the incident.
His first wife expressed strong suspicion that her husband might have been killed by his close friends.
After conducting an inquest of the crime scene, police deposited the body at RIMS morgue.
Later, post mortem examination of the body was conducted in the presence of a Duty Magistrate with full video coverage today.
Sekmai police have taken up a case regarding the incident under FIR number 53 (8) 2015 under Section 302 and 34 IPC.
Till the time of filing this report, there was no arrest in connection with the incident.
It is not known yet who killed Ibungo and the motive behind the killing.
