Imphal, January 25 2017:
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee secretary, Jyotin Waikhom has alleged that there is no sign of MLA Local Area Development Fund in Thangmeiband A/C.He made the statement at political conference organised by Thangmeiband Block Congress Committee (TBCC) at Ibudhou Naothingkhong Shanglen, Thangmeiband Lairenhanjaba Leikai, today.
He accused MLA Joykisan of allegedly adjusting the amount he had used for carrying out developmental projects in Thangmeiband A/C prior to the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly election of 2012, from the Local Area Development Funds.

This is the reason why people of Thangmeiband A/C cannot see any sign or benefit of the fund, he said adding that he had the proof to back his claims.
Assuring that he held no grudges against the people of Thangmeiband, Jyotin said, "It is truly baffling that the same individual, who was hurling blame and abuses at the Congress Party while he was with the BJP, is now with the Congress".
He also pointed out that it would have been better if the TBCC's senior officials had been consulted before the decision to welcome him.
According to him, there has been no ticket committee meeting for the Congress Party nor a meeting of the screening committee.
Sonia Gandhi is yet to give her permission let alone bring up the topic to the Parliamentary Board, he said adding that even a 30 year Congress veteran like himself had absolutely no idea about getting the party ticket.
Jyotin expressed belief that the party leaders would take the right decision when it comes to giving the party ticket.
Slamming Joykisan, he said, "He decided to join Congress because he was going to get thrown out of BJP for taking huge funds with promise for party ticket".
He did not join the Congress party out of love which was clearly visible through his actions and that of his supporters during the reception of Imphal Municipal Council Ward no 3 councillor H Nutanchandra into the Congress party, he added.
Assuring that there was no confusion inside TBCC, he urged the party leaders to see the ground realities before taking any decision.
TBCC president Thangjam Ibotombi, IMC corporator Hijam Nutanchandra, TBCC working president RK Lokendrajit and TB Mahila Congress Committee president Aribam Jiwanlata were also present at the meet.
