Adequate availability of domestic LPG cylinders across NE States

G Ramesh, Chief General Manager & State Head of Indian Oil � AOD State Office, which is responsible for the marketing activities of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd across the seven North Eastern States, has asserted that the demand of LPG cylinders across the region has shot up due to panic buying among customers in view of the anticipated lockdown to curb the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
Requesting the public to refrain from panic buying, Ramesh assured that filled LPG cylinders are available in the market.
Clarifying on the matter of non � availability of LPG cylinders in case of a complete lockdown, Ramesh said that as domestic LPG are covered under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, they will be still made available in the market even if there is a complete lockdown.
All the 11 operating LPG bottling locations of Indian Oil across the North East region, are currently operating in full capacity amid all safety protocol and will continue to do so ensuring continuous supply of domestic LPG cylinders, he assured that there will also be no restriction in the movement of LPG carrying trucks supplying LPG from the bottling locations to the LPG distributors.
"All the Indian Oil LPG distributors are also operating and ensuring delivery of LPG through the delivery partners.
We are ensuring that all the necessary safety precautions are being taken by Indian Oil employees as well as our channel partners and delivery partners so that we can continue to serve the public", he added.
Ramesh also requested all customers to take all necessary precautions to stop the spread of the coronavirus and prayed for their safety and well being.
