HPC to discuss alleged irregularities in Vety & AH, Agri, Hills departments

A meeting of the High Powered Committee (HPC) constituted under the Manipur Public Servants' Personal Liability Rules, 2008 will be held on April 25 at 10.30 am in the office chamber of the Chief Secretary.
The meeting will discuss and consider cases of alleged irregularities committed by three departments � Veterinary & Animal Husbandry; Agriculture and Hills.
According to sources, the HPC will consider the alleged misappropriation of Government money amounting to Rs.1,88,83,124 by Dr L Jila Singh, the former Joint Director of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Department, a case taken up by the Vigilance (Ref: Vigilance Case No.22(6)06-VPS) .

Those officials of who have been asked to attend the meeting include Pr.
Secretary (Vety & AH); Director (Vety and AH); Director, Vigilance; Dr L Jila Singh, Retired Joint Director (Vety & AH) .
The second case in the agenda of the meeting will be another case already handled by Vigilance (Ref: Vigilance case No.7/SP-V/2013) on alleged irregularities in sanction and passing of bill in Agriculture Department.
Special Secretary (Agri); Director, Vigilance; Director (Agri) and Director (Treasuries & Accounts) have been asked to attend the meeting.
The last agenda of the meeting is the case of alleged excess appointment of 835 primary teachers in the Autonomous District Councils.
The Pr.
Secretary (Hills) has been asked to attend the meeting.
The all officials and officers who have been asked to attend the HPC meeting will do so in person with relevant documents, said sources.
A notice to this effect has also been issues on April 18 by the Deputy Secretary (Pay Implementation Cell), Government of Manipur.
