Imphal, August 18:
Hundreds of people including those injured in the agitation against the ceasefire extension in Manipur today paid floral tributes to the 18 persons died during the agitation in a function organized by the JN Hospital Relief Committee at Porompat PDA Complex in Imphal.
Artistes of the Roop Raag presented patriotic song number Laibak Phabi Kekrupat.
Dr T Lunkim, general secretary of the Kuki Christian Church, RK Ranendrajit, editor of The Freedom, Dr Dhanabir Laishram, Nurjahan Begum, president Kangleipak Chanura Development Organization, M Manichandra who severed his finger during the ceasefire movement, social worker Th Iboyaima who was the president of the function, Non-Manipuri communities' leader Amrik Singh Pawah, Muruma Thaimei, president of the Zeliangrong Women�s Society Manipur Valley and social worker Y Dilipkumar were among those who addressed the function.
Pahwa donated Rs 2000 to the relief committee fund.
Meanwhile, the Roop Raag has stated it will conduct free shows of Laibak Phabi Kekrupat at JN Hospital complex (Aug 18), Helping Hand Uripok and Wabgai Lamkhai Apunba Club (Aug 19), Emannaba Punsinnaba Marup, Uripok (Aug 23), Enclave Club, Kangla Park (Aug 24), United Committee Yairipok (Aug 25) and United Volunteers Assn, Thangmeiband (Aug 26).
