Army organises skill development course

With the objective of imparting vocational skills to the local youth, Noney Battalion under the aegis of Loktak Brigade of Red Shield Division conducted a 'Skill Development Initiative Course' at Lamsang sub-division.
The course was conducted in collaboration with Jogeshwar Centre for Regional Excellence (JCRE) Skills Solutions, a reputed firm in imparting training in skill development and job placement.
After a series of rigorous selection processes by an expert team from JCRE Skills Solutions, a total of 15 youth (7 girls and 8 boys) were selected and underwent a one month long course focused on the food and beverage sector, said a statement of PIB (DW) .
Saying that the firm will also provide assistance to the youth for job placement as per their choice either in the State or anywhere in the country after the completion of the course, it added that the convocation ceremony held today at Lamsang, Commander Loktak Brigade addressed the successful candidates and emphasized that the candidates should not only look for their own employment but should also strive to become job creators.
During the ceremony, the students came forward to share their experience and while thanking the Army, pledged to utilize this opportunity to work towards a better future both for themselves and the community as a whole, added the statement.
