NPP merges with BJP Candidates to be fielded in ADC polls

BJP is now fully ready to field their candidates in the upcoming ADC elections.
This was stated by BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba at a function that marked the merger of National People's Party (NPP), Manipur unit with BJP.
Thirteen prominent leaders of NPP Manipur unit led by its president and former Minister V Hangkhanlian and secretary H Siamchinkhup have joined the saffron party.
Speaking at the occasion, Th Chaoba announced that NPP Manipur unit has merged with BJP and all its leaders and workers led by their president have joined the BJP.
Th Chaoba said that V Hangkhalian became Cabinet Minister on three different occasions and he was elected to State Assembly four times.
He further announced that party administration has also approved joining of social worker N Nilakumar and former member of All India Trinamool Congress and former candidate in Saikot AC, Lunkholal Lhungdim alias Lalboi to BJP.
Other prominent executives of NPP Manipur unit who have joined BJP are finance secretary cum treasurer S John Gangte, Churachandpur Kendra president K Tuanzahau, Thanlon Kendra president H Thuamlian, Thanlon Kendra secretary K Suanzalam, Henglep Kendra president T Minlian, Churachandpur Kendra finance secretary Hoihmuanching, Singngat Kendra president Pumkhosiam, Thanlon Kendra vice-president T Chinkawl and Churachandpur Kendra secretary T Dongzathang.
Th Chaoba said that all these leaders have decided to join BJP as there is no development in hill areas under the present State Government.
The incumbent Congress Government has failed to live up to people's expectations, and everybody is eager to teach a lesson to Congress by joining BJP, Th Chaoba said.
He alleged that all the tribal MLAs, who were elected on Congress ticket, have forgotten the hardships of hill people as they are now living a comfortable life in Imphal.
There is no governance and administration in the hill, he added.
Saying that people would start facing the inconvenience of acute scarcity of water from this month, Th Chaoba said that the State Government has paid no attention to leakage of Imphal barrage on the excuse of financial paucity.
MDS is yet to construct nursing colleges in Senapati, Bishnupur and Ukhrul although the required amount has already been transferred to the Society's account, Th Chaoba said.
Similarly, Tourism Department is also delaying many projects, he added.
As such, a large number of political leaders and workers are joining BJP everyday so that they may teach a befitting lesson to Congress Government's mis-governance and mis-management, Th Chaoba said.
Saying that BJP is now fully ready to field its candidates in the upcoming ADC elections, Th Chaoba expressed hope that his party candidates would register win in all the six ADCs of the State.
Speaking at the occasion, V Hangkhalian said that he along with his party leaders have decided to join BJP to bring development in hill districts.
Roads are in bad shape while power and water supplies are also erratic in hill areas, V Hangkhalian said and added that the present State Government has also failed to take up any measure to provide PDS items to the people regularly.
As such, they have joined BJP, which is the ruling party at the Centre, with the hope that all the people's grievances would be looked into if the party comes to power in the State, he added.
