Imphal, August 12 2016 :
BJP Manipur Pradesh has called upon the people of Manipur to root out Congress party in order to eradicate corruption from the State.
A one-day political conference was held yesterday at Tarung community hall where Adim Pamei was felicitated on being appointed vice-president of BJP Manipur Pradesh.
Speaking at the conference, BJP Manipur Pradesh State election management committee convenor Th Chaoba accused the Congress Government of misusing huge amounts of funds sanctioned by the Centre for taking up different development projects in the hill areas.
There is no sign of development in the hill districts.
Huge amounts of funds sanctioned through Horticulture Department and Tribal Welfare Department have been misused without ever letting them reach the people, he claimed.
Funds sanctioned for housing scheme through Tribal Welfare Department has been misappropriated, Chaoba alleged.
People, both in the hills and the valley, have not received any rice under NFSA.
Corruption will continue to poison the State until and unless Congress party is uprooted from the State.
The State Government's initiative to recruit police personnel is an attempt to amass huge amount of money from the public ahead of the State Assembly election.
Before results of the recruitment process can be declared, the election code of conduct would come into force, Chaoba said.
BJP has more than enough number of people who can be put up as candidates in all the 60 Assembly seats.
Many Congress men have been knocking the door of BJP and many of them would be leaving Congress soon after the forthcoming session of the Manipur State Assembly.
Stating that Adim Pamei is dedicated to the welfare of the State, Chaoba claimed that Adim Pamei is well qualified to represent Nungba AC.
Conveying his gratitude to all the people of Nungba who came to attend the conference, Adim Pamei sought their support.
He appealed them to start election campaign so that he gets not less than 18,000 votes in the Assembly election.
