Tagore Award for N Kunjamohan Singh

Imphal, June 12 2012:
Noted writer N Kunjamohan Singh has been selected for the Tagore Literature Award instituted by the Embassy of Korea and sponsored by M/s Samsung Electronics, India Limited.
Kunjamohan was selected for his book in Manipuri, Eina Kenge Kenba Natte (Short stories) .

The award is given for most outstanding books published in Indian languages recognised by the Sahitya Akademi covering eight languages in the last two years.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 91,000 as well as a plaque.
The awards have been handed over to the awardees in a function at Kochi today.
