Bishnupur, July 11 2017:
The flood victims of the incessant rain who are taking refuge at many temporary camps were provided with fresh drinking water by Nambol Municipal Council today.
Houses and properties of over 16 wards of the Nambol Municipal Council were flooded and damaged which forced the victims to stay in relief camps .
The Councillors of Nambol Municipal Council headed by its Chairperson Ch Basanta distributed the drinking water at various relief camps namely Naorem, Konkham, Leitongbam, Phoijing Makha, Nambol Makha, Moijing, Kha Jiri Thangtek, Khabi and Maibam .

Altogether 26 relief camps have been set up under Nambol Municipal Council, reports our correspondent .
Speaking to media persons, Ch Basanta stated that the drinking water were distributed to ease the suffering of flood affected people and added that the Council is ready to provide every necessary measures for the victims .
He said that free medical camps will also be conducted at every relief camps.
The water level at many areas including Moirang river and Loktak remains unchanged.
