Lilong Haoreibi College assessed by NAAC's Peer Team

A peer team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bengaluru in a two-day visit (January 10-11) assessed the Lilong Haoreibi College for accreditation.
The NAAC committee consisting of Professor Shrawan K Sharma of Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, Professor Rajkumar Kothari from Diamond Harbour Women's University, West Bengal and Professor Ajit Hazarika of Tyagbir Hem Baruah College Assam assessed the physical infrastructure and other details of the college during the two day visit, said a statement issued by the Principal of the college.
It is worth mentioning that Lilong Haoreibi College was established in 1976 but it has not been accredited till date.
This is the first time that the only college located at the minority concentrated area has been able to qualify for the assessment.

MLA of Lilong Assembly Constituency, Y Antaz Khan, Director of University & Higher Education Dr Rangitabali Waikhom, Additional Director P Shantikumar Singh, Controller of Examination at Manipur University Professor N Nimai Singh, College Development Council Director Professor Jibon Singh, former Principal of the college Dr A Nabachandra Singh were some of the members attended in the meeting held yesterday as a part of the peer visit.
The peer team also interacted with students, faculties, alumni members and parents in different sessions.
The team also handed over the report of the assessment to the Principal in the exit meeting held at the second day today.
