Nonetheless, the Ministry would make all efforts to ensure that the number of PG seats is increased.
The Central Government has initiated several projects and schemes to improve health care infrastructure in Manipur.
Out of two crore babies delivered across the country in a year, 90 lakhs were not vaccinated.
Nonetheless, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has managed to vaccinate around 50 lakh children in a single year.
Earlier, children were vaccinated against seven diseases/infections but nowadays children are vaccinated from 12 diseases/infections, JP Nadda stated.
These days, children are vaccinated against JE and Rota too.
On the average, 10 lakh children are brought to hospitals annually as they suffer from diarrhoea.
Out of them, one lakh die.
The Ministry has already provided 102 ambulances.
Women may use these ambulances free of cost to visit health centres/hospitals for child delivery and also for going back home.
Plans are also afoot to introduce heli-ambulance service in Manipur, stated the Union Minister.
Talking about the National Health Mission (NHM), JP Nadda stated that health workers may formulate different health care schemes at the village level under NHM and submit them to the respective CMOs.
To implement these village level health care schemes, the Central Government would provide all necessary funds.
People should be vigilant enough to ensure that funds sanctioned under NHM are not swindled or misappropriated.
Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's move of demonetising Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, JP Nadda remarked that the same move has landed many rich people with black money in deep trouble.
To enable them cope with the situation, it is necessary to launch a mobile phone app for stress management, he added.
Th UPA Government could not take such a bold decision because many of their Ministers were in possession of huge amount of black money.
Narendra Modi has shown to the whole country that there is no room for corrupt people in India, Nadda added.
BJP Manipur in-charge Prahlad Patel, BJP Manipur Pradesh president Ksh Bhabananda, MLA Thongam Bishwajit, ex-MLA Nongthombam Biren and BJP Imphal Central District president Ch Umakanta were also present at the political conference.
