Nagaland transporters block Manipur buses/Tata Winger vans

Dimapur, March 09 2014:
The indefinite ban on the movement of Manipur bus and Tata Winger van services imposed by All Nagaland Private Bus Union and Winger Operators (ANPBU&WO) began today here.
The agitation of the ANPBU &WO has been triggered by the killing of a Tata Winger van in Manipur after he was abducted by two unidentified men on February 22 .
Md Muna Ali plied a Tata Winger van between Dimapur and Imphal.
On February 22 at 11 am, two men hired Md Muna Ali's Tata Winger van from North AOC, Imphal on the pretext of fetching a patient from Kangpokpi which is some 40 kms north of Imphal.
Since then Md Ali did not return.
Md Muna Ali alias Suto, 22 years, s/o Md Matalim alias Akbar Ali hailed from Sukhajan village under Bokajan police station of Karbi Anglong district.
The driver from Assam was found murdered near a village in Sadar Hills, Senapati district of Manipur on March 7.He was one of the members of ANPBU &WO .
Meanwhile, the ban has been initiated by ANPBU&WO demanding from the Manipur Government to compensate the family of the deceased and for a prompt investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, Newmai News Network witnessed large number of volunteers of the ANPBU&WO at Nichugar Gate near Patkai College in Dimapur this afternoon, enforcing the ban on Manipur buses and Tata Winger vans.
