Low count continues with 29 new cases

Imphal, August 08 2022:
Altogether 29 new cases were detected in the last 24 hours to take the total caseload of positive cases to 1,39,377 including 5019 Central security personnel.
The 29 cases were detected while testing a total sample 339 to peg the daily positivity rate at 8.6 percent and it includes one Central security personnel.
Unlike the last two days, no deaths were reported due to the virus and the total number of deaths remain unchanged at 2138 .
The 29 new cases were confirmed while testing at JNIMS (1) and other testing centres (28) .
The 28 civilians who tested positive are from Imphal East (7), Imphal West (8), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (3), Pherzawl (3), Senapati (2), Tengnoupal (1), Chandel (1) and Churachandpur (1). The number of active cases is 244 inclusive of 5 Central security personnel.
On the other hand 40 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours from home isolation (35), RIMS (1) and SHRI (4).The number of recovered cases is 1,36,995 including 5007 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate is 98.29 percent.
On August 7, 83 Covid vaccines were administered to take the total number of vaccinated people to 31,32,811 including 12,92,364 second dose and 2,18,379 precautionary dose.
At JNIMS out of 38 Covid beds, 9 are occupied while 29 are vacant.
At RIMS 21 Covid beds out of 62 are occupied and 41 are vacant.
On August 7, a total of 362 D type oxygen cylinders and 78 B Type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres.
