'Intending candidates should concentrate on developing lives of people and State'

Coming out against communal politics which can be to the loss of everyone, sitting MLA of Keirao AC, Lourembam Rameshwor today said that intending candidates should concentrate on developing the lives of the people and the State.
He said this during a felicitation programme organised by Urup Keirao Muslim Youth Development Committee and Keirao Kendra Development Committee today at Urup Awang Leikai to congratulate L Rameshwor on receiving the Babu Jagjiban Ram International Award-2021 for his humanitarian works and added that Keirao AC has a diversified population which comprises mainly of 6 communities who had elected various individuals from different parties in the past years.
However the constituency has been lagging behind in all spheres of development, he added.
L Rameshwor said he has been working for the betterment of the constituency without any distinction for communities and trying to uphold the unity between various communities in the AC.
He appealed to all the intending candidates not to engage in communal politics.
Adding that the constituency is doing better than all the other 59 ACs in medical facilities, he added that a sense of coming together in times of need has been inculcated amongst the people of the constituency.
People of the AC came together to provide financial assistance to one Kidney patient from Thiyam Konjil yesterday and another Cancer patient from Kiyamgei Mamang Leikai was also provided financial assistance a couple of days ago.
He added that there are also plans to develop the AC into a model constituency in terms of road, water supply and education.
He also appealed to the public not to believe the rumour circulating in social media that part of the AC will be lost in delimitation.
MLA L Rameshwor assured that he will do everything in his capacity to make sure the boundaries of the AC are left unaffected.
MLA L Ramehswor also presented simple gifts to the Police personnel who were part of the team that busted a Brown Sugar factory recently.
The programme was also attended by Md Nasir, president UKMYDC and Md Tomba, president KKMDC as presidium members.
