Many rush in for Cong nomination forms

More than 60 intending candidates turned up to get the Indian National Congress party nomination forms for the coming 11th State Assembly election.
According to a source, more than 60 intending candidates came to take nomination forms of the India National Congress Party from the Congress Bhavan for the coming election which is set to be held across 60 Assembly segments.

The source pointed out that individuals even took more than two-three nomination forms for a single Assembly segment in order to improve their chances of getting a party ticket.
Many party leaders, Ministers and MLAs were also among those who came for the forms, it added.
It further said that many well known personalities took the forms on behalf of the 20 hill Assembly segments though the source declined to reveal their identities.
No one has come forward to take the nominee form for Tamei and Tamenglong till now, it added.
The last date for taking and submitting the said nomination forms has been fixed at 5pm of January 5 .
